Product Updates

Lots have happened since the last Maze Creator Newsletter was published. We have been publishing most of the update information out of the Maze Creator Forum. We would encourage you to check that out from time to time as we prefer to keep the amount of Email to a minimum.

An UNDO feature has been added to Maze Creator products in the latest versions. This will allow you to freely create and not have to worry about loosing your previous work. If you don't like you recent changes, just select the Edit -> Undo to roll back. This is actually a multi-level UNDO so we have you covered.

Keep an eye out for new released. The versions of STD and PRO will contain a TXT export. It will allow you to email a text based maze. Look below for the sample.

TXT Export Feature

The TXT Export Feature is in development and expected to be released in the next versions of Maze Creator STD and PRO. Export into TXT format to create a complete text based maze. This only works with a BOX type maze. Many people have asked for this feature to include in their newsletters a maze without attaching an image file.

FAQ: Free Updates

A common question to Maze Creator Support is how much does an upgrade cost. In most cases it is FREE! For both Maze Creator HOME and STD, you get free updates within the same major version. For example, you have STD version 3.5, you can update to the latest version of 3.x with the same registration key. The same goes for Maze Creator HOME, all 1.x versions are available with your registration key. If you have lost your registration key, you can go to the support page to recover you key.

If your Maze Creator PRO is under and active support contract, you are also covered for a FREE update. Updates are based upon the release time of the software update and the length of your support contract. Because you don't have an active contract doesn't mean there is a newer version that what you have current installed. The easiest way to check is to go to the download page and check. Maze Creator PRO is supported for the last two released versions.

If you wish, you may try to install an obsolete version, but keep in mind, these cannot be supported. You may want to contact Maze Creator support to talk about re-activating your support contract. Depending upon the time your contract last expired, this can be as little as $50.

Maze Creator PRO 1.70 New Features

ADDED: Multi-Level UNDO Buffer for Template/Graphics/Text layer updates

ADDED: UNDO Keyboard shortcut (CTRL-Z) and Mouse Gesture "Down-Right"

IMPROVED: Drawing/Painting with left button down and moving the cursor

ADDED: Mouse wheel scrolling in maze layout

FIXED: Large page sizes are now supported

FIXED: High Resolution Printer Drivers should be supported in their own format

FIXED: BMP Export is limited by GDI, causing problems with large image sizes

UPDATED: Image Filename will have an underscore "_" added between the image name and image number
